It was standing room only for The ADMC Breakfast Event held on Friday 26th January at Van Elle's Training Centre in Kirkby-in-Ashfield, with over 80 attendees. A huge thank you to everyone who attended to make the event a success. We made numerous contacts both old and new and are excited to progress some of the collaborations and ideas discussed.
Following networking, breakfast and refreshments, all attendees heard from the following presenters:
Cllr Matthew Relf, Ashfield District Council
Andy Dean, The ADMC
Dr Chris Owen, Programme Director, Made Smarter East Midlands
Paul Humphreys, East Midlands Chamber
Sue Edwards, Innovation Manager, Enterprising Ashfield & Patrick Barber, NTU
Mike Carr, The ADMC
An insightful Q&A was also held with lots of discussions, questions and information shared in a truly collaborative approach to this project. The room was full of a wide range of businesses from various sectors and sizes.
The ADMC’s focus is on ensuring that every business can benefit from some form of automation. The ADMC will be the centrepiece of a dedicated Innovation and Technology Park in Ashfield. This will provide companies with the opportunity to work closely with the centre, and where there is strong synergy with the ADMC, the potential to co-locate alongside it.
