The ADMC will be the UK's go to place for automation support.
Empowering Businesses through Automation
The ADMC will work with businesses to create and implement bespoke automation strategies and solutions that improve productivity and enable prosperity and growth.

The ADMC will be a 3,500m2 purpose built, multifunctional, automation centre.

The vision for the ADMC is based on four “pillars” of activity. These are:

The ADMC will be at the centre of a cluster of automation businesses and will also host a range of networking and wider engagement and activities.
Central to its work will be the people it employs. These will encompass a range of researchers, engineers and technical specialists. These will be both directly employed by the ADMC and available from a range of partners and stakeholders.

Leadership Team
The project is being led by Ashfield District Council with the support of an experienced Project Advisory Group (PAG) made up of Strategic Partners.

A dedicated ADMC Board and Leadership Team will be be recruited for the centre. It is anticipated that recruitment will take place during 2024.
​
The PAG is chaired by Cllr. Matthew Relf. Matthew is Executive Lead Member for Growth, Regeneration and Local Planning within Ashfield District Council.

Councillor Keith Girling - Cabinet Member for Economic Development and Strategic Asset Management at Nottinghamshire County Council.

Andrew Cropley - Principal and Chief Executive of Vision West Nottinghamshire College
Professor Neil Mansfield - Head of Engineering Department, Nottingham Trent University
Samantha Handley - Executive Director at Swiftool Precision Engineering.
Martin Rigley MBE – Innovation Engineer and previously CEO & Managing Director of Lindhurst Engineering (now ECS Engineering).

Andy Dean acts as the interim Project Manager for Ashfield District Council. Andy is a consultant with many years of experience of technology innovation. Andy previously led on the development of the Medical Technology Innovation Facility at Nottingham Trent University, for example. He is a non-voting member of the ADMC PAG. The ADMC Team​
​
Once appointed, the ADMC leadership team will recruit a dedicated team to support its strategic partners, members and wider client base as well as operate the centre.
The staff will come from a variety of backgrounds and include colleagues experienced in developing and implementing a broad range of automation projects and programmes. They will utilise the ADMC's facilities, equipment and network to deliver solutions and activities that meet the needs of those accessing the centre for future benefit.

The ADMC team will be supported by dedicated staff from Nottingham Trent University and Vision West Nottinghamshire College, some of whom will be co-located in the Centre.
