Nottinghamshire County Council
Nottinghamshire County Council (NCC) is the upper-tier local authority for the non-metropolitan county of Nottinghamshire in England.
The county council is based at County Hall in West Bridgford. Supporting the county council are seven district councils with responsibility for local services such as housing, planning applications, licensing, and council tax collection
Ashfield is one of these district councils. They work closely with NCC to deliver the full range of local authority services to Ashfield residents and businesses.
In September 2023, Ashfield District Council agreed in principle to purchase the land for the ADMC and wider Innovation and Technology Park from Nottinghamshire County Council (NCC).
It chose to sell the land to enable the development to proceed as a key part of the region’s Levelling Up agenda. This will help to bring high skilled job opportunities into areas where such opportunities have not always been available.
The ADMC development has the full support of NCC. They are an active member of the ADMC's project advisory group.
NCC also offer a range of support and access to wider expertise for business in the following areas:
- Sustainability, green initiatives & carbon footprint reduction
- Regulation and compliance
- International trade
Their team of experts offer one-to-one advice which includes:
- Business planning & strategy
- Marketing and communication
- Funding options
