The mutual success of the ADMC will be determined by those businesses and organisations wanting to work in partnership with it. Consequently, the ADMC is looking to develop a core of Strategic Partners linked with the automation sector. These businesses and organisations will shape the direction of travel of the ADMC and help set its priorities.
There will also be opportunities for businesses and organisations to build a relationship with the ADMC by taking a membership with it. Whilst a membership provides less influence on the strategy of the ADMC, it allows a business to take advantage of the wide range of opportunities and specific services provided by the centre.
Based on feedback from businesses to date, twenty activities have been identified that could be provided by the ADMC to partners and members. In brief, these are:
- A place on the R&D Decision-Making Board and/or other activity theme Boards.
- Dedicated ADMC account management.
- Opportunities to join collaborative bids for public funded R&D.
- Provision of bid writing support.
- A contribution to specific R&D activity, either jointly or in ADMC built consortia.
- A contribution to specific Prototyping and Proof of Principle activities, as above.
- Opportunities to showcase their equipment and process methodology.
- Opportunities for their equipment, methods, and expertise to be used in projects.
- A contribution to space rental within the ADMC.
- Opportunities for their marketing and promotion alongside the ADMC.
- Discounted skills development costs or free places on learning programmes.
- A contribution to events and promotional activity costs hosted by the member.
- Access to events and networking technical and B2B network hosted by ADMC.
- Discounted consultancy rates.
- Access to placements, researchers, and PhD students.
- Access and guidance relating to aligned business support schemes.
- Access to legal and HR support etc.
- Participation in surveys and access to the outcomes and a wider sector data offer.
- Access to a Technology Helpline.
- Business development support and the provision of sales leads.
